Particularly Telugu films piracy DVD's are in the market on the same day of the release of films.
On 31st May 2013, at the instance of Addl.DIG, Krishna Prasad, C.I.D. of A.P. The Addl. D.G.P. Crime directed several video piracy teams to organize raids over video pirates at Guntur, Nellore, and Bangalore. The officials of C.I.D., A.P. & Anti Video Piracy Cell staff of A.P. Film Chamber of Commerce accompanied the video piracy teams, of C.I.D to organize raids at Guntur. In Guntur a total of 2 shops in which 55,000 pirated DVD of “Iddarammayilatho” & other latest movie DVDs where seized.
They were able to take in to custody of 1 persons of whole sale supplier.

During raids Anti Video Piracy Cell team have observed tones of pirated DVD's, more than 3lakh wrappers, covers in shop & godown & seized pirated DVD’s of latest Telugu, Hindi & English.
The video piracy cell has seized pirated DVDs of several Telugu, Hindi & English movies worth Rs. 22 lakhs on Saturday. Chilamakuri Purna Chandra Rao were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The video piracy cell seized pirated copies of various Telugu movies, including Iddarammayilatho, Thadaka, Greeku Veerudu, Ramachari, Love Cycle, Baadshah, Shadow, and all latest movies of Telugu, Hindi, English. A raid on his shop in Guntur busted 32 units involved in making pirated DVDs using DVD writers which can record 320 pirated DVDs in 8mins time.
This person is having more than 15 copyright cases registered in Guntur city region and the S.P of Guntur has informed to the investigation officer to open a rowdy sheeter case.
