We all know that All India Star Sridevi is playing the role of Queen Soumya Devi in Kollywood Ilayadalapathi Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Puli’. Teaser of Vijay’s ‘Puli’ which is being made simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages, has been launched on June 22 on the occasion of hero’s birthday. It is receiving tremendous response in YouTube. We all know that after Kaththi’s stupendous box-office records, Ilayathalapathy Vijay is now going to create more wonders with Chimbudevan’s film ‘Puli’. He is playing the lead role in the film which is being produced by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar under SKT Studios banner with Chimbudevan as director. Shruthi Haasan and Hansika are playing female lead role opposite Vijay.
On this occasion, producers Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar said, “’Puli’ is being made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages. This fantasy film features veteran actress Sridevi looking majestic as she plays the role of Queen Soumya Devi. Sridevi look in teaser is receiving good response. She used all her ornaments such as crown, bangles, ear rings and other ornaments in Gold. She has spent over four hours for her makeup every day. She used to reach Puli locations at morning 4 o clock for attending 9 am shooting. Though she used about 10 to 15 Kgs ornaments while shooting, she worked with dedication. She even took sword training for her role in Puli. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that her role in the film will be very crucial. There are huge expectation on the film among the fans and film industry as well. We have started the first schedule in January. We have already completed the sequences which needed for graphics and those shots were sent to 9 Studios for final touches in February. Top technicians who have come from Denmark, Russia, Ireland, Ukraine and Armenia are working on graphic works. We have already wrapped up the shooting part in May. VFX works are going on steadily and still they are pending. Those works may complete in July and hence we are planning to bring the film to the audience in the last week of August. We are sure that ‘Puli’ will stand out as another sensational hit in Viay’s career.”
Vijay, Shruthi Haasan, Hansika, All India Star Sridevi, Kannada Star Sudeep, Prabhu, Tambi Ramayya, Satyan, Junior Balayya, Aadukalam Naren, Joe Malloori, Madhumitha, Anjali Devi and Gaytri along with 40 prominent artists are part of this trilingual film.
