Producer-director Natti Kumar has lodged a complaint against Chanti Addala, a well-known producer and art director, at the Banjara Hills police station. This is over the rights of Keerthy Suresh-Nawin's 'Aina Ishtam Nuvvu', which is heading for an OTT release soon.
Speaking about the controversy, Natti Kumar said, "I had given a cheque of Rs 9 lakh to Chanti Addala towards the rights for 'Aina Ishtam Nuvvu'. I have got adequate bank balance to honour the cheque. But Addala didn't submit the cheque and instead lodged a police complaint against me. I have filed a counter-complaint against Addala with adequate proofs."
"Addala sold the rights of the film to me first and sold the same film with a different title to some other producer later. I thought of taking the issue to the Producers' Council initially. But Addala has used his clout against me. That's why I too have complained against him. I completely trust the police and courts," Natti Kumar said.
