Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga himself today confirmed the film's marathon length. Yes, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer is a full three hours and twenty minutes long. Gasp!
"Censor rating for ANIMAL is A. 3 hour 21 minutes 23 seconds & 16 frames is the Runtime (sic)," the 'Arjun Reddy' director tweeted on Wednesday evening.
Following his brave social media post, several Netizens started advising him not to be over-confidence. The run-time is off-putting and those in the late 30s, early 40s and beyond mind think twice before venturing into the cinema hall.
In recent times, only the makers of 'Tiger Nageswara Rao' were this over-confident. They chose a running time of nearly 172 minutes. They listened to the negative feedback and trimmed the film by more than fifteen minutes. By that time, it was too late.
