Allu Arjun is believed to have prioritized his project with director Atlee over his slated project with director Trivikram Srinivas. Atlee, known for Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, pitched an exciting story to Bunny. The project will take off sooner rather than later.
As per the buzz in the town, Janhvi Kapoor has been finalized to act as the female lead in the untitled project. If true, this will be her first collaboration with Bunny.
She is currently doing Ram Charan's 16th movie. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film recently went to the floors. This is her second pan-Indian Telugu movie, the first one being Jr NTR's Devara. The Bunny-Atlee movie will be her third pan-Indian Telugu movie.
Incidentally, Janhvi Kapoor recently defended Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 against elitist criticisms. "Why are we so obsessed with idolizing the West and running down things that come out of our own country and instantly disqualifying it from being considered worthy? The same rooted representation and larger-than-life tone other countries appreciate and are fascinated by our cinema for, we ourselves are embarrassed about. Sad," she wrote on social media when Netizens rued that Pushpa 2 was given a priority over Interstellar by IMAX screens.
