After a series of flops like Radhe Shyam, Beast, and Acharya, her career was on a downward spiral. That's when Pooja became the butt of online ridicule.
"I discovered that people were spending lakhs just to troll me. I asked my team to reach out to the meme pages and understand the issue. The pages said that they were being paid," Pooja claimed, adding that the troll and meme pages asked for money from her team if they wanted the trolling to be stopped or if they wanted to retaliate.
It is likely that Pooja is hinting that a superstar actress was behind the trolling. It is also likely that the meme pages just bluffed her team by lying that someone was paying them to insult her. Why would the meme pages lie? To smartly extract money from Pooja. That's their business model.
To be frank, Pooja's acting chops in movies like Radhe Shyam were really bad. But she didn't deserve the insults hurled at her by memers.
