In the upcoming Aha original, Hometown, a middle-class family is at the centre of the drama. Rajeev Kanakala runs a photo studio and aspires for his son to settle down abroad. But the son, played by Prajwal Yadma, chases filmmaking dreams. Starring Annie as the male lead's younger sister and Jhansi as his mother, its Trailer was released today by actor Vijay Deverakonda.
"Our film brims with heartfelt emotions. It explores the complexities of parent-child relationships, and the aspirations of parents who dream of sending their children abroad," director Srikanth Reddy Palle stated. The way the trailer ends, it gives the impression that the otherwise stubborn father comes of age and sees the whole point of his son. Jhansi, who has previously been a star television anchor, has a conventional wife/mother part.
Produced by Naveen Medaram and Rajashekhar Medaram, this one has music by Suresh Bobbili. Devdeep Gandhi Kundu is its director of photography.
The show will start streaming on Aha Video from April 4th. "You can leave your hometown, but can you ever leave the memories? The streets, the friendships, the late-night dreams Srikanth’s journey is ours too," the OTT platform wrote, unveiling its Trailer.
