‘Devasthanam’ starring Kalatapasvi Padmasri K Vishwanath and Gaanagandharva Padmabhushan S P Balasubrahmaniam in lead roles is taking shape under the direction of Janardhan Maharshi under Sarvejana Sukhinobhavanthu Films banner. Actress Aamani is playing a key role in this film which has been completed 80% of the shooting.
Director Janardhana Maharshi said, “Vishwanath garu is the head of the temple who considers temple as his home. S P Balasubrahmaniam belongs to a middle class family and he considers his home as a temple. The human emotional drama between the two is ‘Devasthanam’. We are crafting this movie with a powerful story. Every scene in this film will be on backdrop of some temple. We shot most of the film in prominent temples in Chittoor district. There are altogether six songs of which we canned two songs and two hari kathas. Two more songs have to be shot which we will do it in this week. As per the story demand we are introducing many artists belonging to different fields in this film. This movie is sure to attract all kinds of audience.”
Aamani while speaking, “I’m acting in this movie after a certain gap. In the past I did ‘Subhasankalpam’ under Vishwanath garu’s direction, produced by S P Balasubrahmaniam. That film earned me very good name. Right now I’m doing ‘Devasthanam’ in this combination which is being directed by Janardhan Maharshi. I’m very happy to do a good role in a good movie.”
Suresh Kumar handles the camera and Swara Veenapaani is scoring music.
