There was a time when actresses hesitated to portray negative roles as they feared they might lose their fans and won’t get lead roles easily after playing a negative role. But gradually their mindset changed and every successful actress wants to be in a gray role to prove her versatility to audiences. In line with this, our ‘Desamuduru’,
Hansika Motwani, the cute looking glamour doll for directors as well as the audiences, is playing a negative role in a Tamil romantic comedy ‘Romeo Juliet’ written and directed by Lakshman. While her costar Jeyam Ravi will be seen as a Gym coach, Hansika is portraying the role of an Air Hostess. Poonam Bajwa is essaying another key role. There is no villain in this love story. Interestingly the director is going to show the gorgeous bubbly girl of Kollywood (Hansika) in a negative character in the first half of the film. Hansika is also too happy and considers herself luckiest as she got the best opportunity to prove her potential in a negative role. She even claims that her wish as an actress is to prove her acting skills in all kind of roles. Initially the makers considered Nayantara for that character, but later replaced with Hansika. Shooting of ‘Romeo Juliet’ is presently taking place in Chennai.
