Johnny Lever was one of the most popular comedians in Hindi cinema in the 1990s. Although he acted in about 300 movies, it is believed by many that the talented artist didn't get his due.
In his latest interview, Johnny made some shocking statements. He said that several Bollywood heroes used to feel threatened by him. "They would get my scenes edited. They used to watch how the audience would react to my scenes and feel insecure," he has been quoted as saying by Indian Express.
The actor also added that the length of his roles became smaller and smaller after writers started distributing comedy scenes between him and the hero of the movie.
Not many know that Johnny is a Telugu man. Owing to his father's job, he grew up in Mumbai and later became a stand-up comedian. He is an admirer of Tollywood comedians like Brahmanandam.
