'Malli Pelli' started streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Aha Video on June 23. The news is that VK Naresh's estranged wife Ramya Raghupathi has slapped a legal notice on the two streaming platforms.
As per Ramya, the film has been made by director MS Raju and her estranged husband to tarnish her reputation. That's why she wants the movie, starring Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh, to be removed from the two OTT platforms.
Ramya tried her best to stall the film's release in theatres on May 26. The CBFC-certified movie was not stalled by the court, as the petitioner's allegations stood on a weak wicket. Naresh and Pavitra have never stated that 'Malli Pelli' is based on their lives.
'Malli Pelli', co-starring Vanitha Vijaykumar, is receiving flak from a section of movie-watchers. A lot of scenes in the film are unsettling them.
