MM Srilekha has been in the music industry for 25 years now. From March 17, she will be touring 25 countries and entertaining music lovers with her concerts. Recently, director SS Rajamouli unveiled a poster dedicated to the world tour that will also involve 24 other composers. "She is the only female director in the country to have composed music for 80 movies in five languages," the 'RRR' maker said at that time.

The upcoming tour will cover Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Norway, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, South Africa, Tanzania, Nigeria, the US, Botswana, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.

An event was today held in Hyderabad to felicitate MM Srilekha ahead of the concert. Speaking on the occasion, Telangana High Court Judge Nanda said, "I am very happy that MM Srilekha is the only woman in the Telugu industry who has been continuing her career as a music director for the past 25 years."

Star writer Vijayendra Prasad said, "She became a composer with hope in her heart. She worked hard and entertained the audience with a number of wonderful songs. While her elder brother Keeravani is on the verge of receiving an Oscar Award, she is making progress in her own way. I hope, in three years, she reaches the global stage."

Music director Koti described MM Srilekha as a good music composer and singer. "I sincerely wish that her world music tour is a big success."

Srilekha spoke her heart out. "After I became a music director, I came to know how much of a struggle it is for anybody to make a name in the field of music. So far, I have been a successful music director only because of my parents, my brother Vijayendra Prasad garu and Dr. Ramakrishna garu. I also thank the audience. My special thanks to my musicians, singers, and lyric writers. My journey will continue successfully with the support of elders and well-wishers. Like everyone else, I have faced many ups and downs. So far, I have not worked for money or fame. I worked for my own satisfaction. At times, I used my own money to buy music equipment for my studio. I live in a rented house to this day. Even though I didn't earn any money, I am very happy that I got the audience's love for my songs. Even though my brother Rajamouli garu has been very busy ahead of the Oscars event, he came and launched my world music tour poster recently."
