'AAY' and 'Thangalaan' are continuing to draw strong audiences in their second week of release, leading to an expansion of their screen count across the Telugu states.

'AAY', directed by Anji K Maniputhra, has added a significant 163 screens in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, bringing its total to 363 screens. This indicates a growing demand for the film, which has been praised for its performances, music, and direction. Narne Nithiin and Nayan Sarika are its lead pair. GA2 Pictures has bankrolled it.

Meanwhile, 'Thangalaan' has also seen an increase of 141 screens in the Telugu states. The Pa.Ranjith-directed adventure has garnered positive reviews for its story and sensibilities.

'AAY' and 'Thangalaan' were in a contest with 'Double Ismart' and 'Mr. Bachchan' in the first weekend (from August 15 to 19). It is evident that the two hits have shattered whatever prospects the latter two could have enjoyed.
