'The Sabarmati Report' is the title of a Hindi-language political drama released recently. The movie is based on the Godhra carnage of 2002. It was screened for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
Actress Raashii Khanna, who played a leading role in the political drama, said that the PM watching a movie in which she has acted is nothing less than a surreal feeling. "We have watched the movie a number of times but today was very special as we got to watch it with the Prime Minister. It's a high point in my career. The film has been made tax-free in many states and other states are also on the path of making it tax-free. I hope people watch it in large numbers," Raashii has been quoted as saying by a news agency.
Raashi Khanna, seen in 2022 in Naga Chaitanya's 'Thank You' and Gopichand's 'Pakka Commercial', is currently doing Siddhu Jonnalagadda's 'Telusu Kada' in Telugu. 'Aranmanai 4' and 'Sardar' in Tamil, and 'Yodha' in Hindi, are among her recent movies.
