Allu Arjun's hospital visit: Will it change public perception?

The government has tried its best to manoeuvre public perceptions as per its whims over the past month. After the Sandhya Theatre stampede, the public mood has swung both ways. A section sympathized with Allu Arjun. It's then that CM Revanth Reddy portrayed him as irresponsible, speaking on the floor of the Telangana Assembly.

For weeks, Allu Arjun's team maintained that the actor had been advised by his legal team not to visit the hospital to check on Sri Tej (Late Revathi's son). For whatever reason, the actor changed his mind and decided to visit the child. He did so personally today two days after the police told him that he would be responsible for any consequences thereof. The 'Pushpa 2' actor's team maintained secrecy about the visit. It was not until Bunny left his residence that the media got to know about the hospital visit.

The issue and the court case have been muddled by emotions. Arguments and counter-arguments have not been able to rationalize the issue. Sensationalism and media narratives trying to villainize Allu Arjun have made it worse. Optics matter more than anything else at this point. So, the actor's visit might convince many that he has empathy. Between him, director Sukumar and Mythri Movie Makers, they have donated Rs 2 Cr already to Sri Tej's family. Will all this go into altering the perception of those who are disinclined to have a soft corner for Allu Arjun?
