Anushka Shetty's Ghaati is slated to head to theaters on April 18. Director Krish Jagarlamudi has worked with a less-known Tamil actor, who has been cast as a rebellious, trailblazing rogue in the movie.
Vikram Prabhu is the name of the actor. The Telugu audience have hardly heard about him. In the latest Character Intro video put out by UV Creations, it is inferred that Vikram Prabhu has a role alongside the Baahubali and Bhaagamathie actress. While the makers have described him as an "incredible powerhouse" actor, the fact remains that the actor is unknown in Telugu. It is a tightrope walk for an actor when he is asked to punch above his weight.
If this character and actor are not in sync with each other, it will work against the film.
Ghaati will be released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. With music by Nagavelli Vidya Sagar, it is also produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi under First Frame Entertainments.
