YVS Chowdary is directing a film titled ‘Reay’ introducing Sai Dharam Tej, the son of Mega Brothers – Chiranjeevi, Naga Babu and Pawan Kalyan’s sister. The film was launched on the Vijayadasami day last year, with the blessings of the mega brothers. Later the regular shooting was to take place in USA but got postponed because of TFI strike, and due to which the unit members’ visas got expired. Hence they resumed the shooting in USA on May 26th after getting the valid visa and an approval notice and continued the shooting till April 26th. But before that the unit shot some action scenes in Malaysia. Stunt Siva choreographed these action scenes. The shooting is presently progressing in Hyderabad. Now the director is once again planning to shoot the film in USA from June 10th onwards. As per the story demand, the first half of the film will be shot in West Indies and the 2nd half in USA.
Director YVS says that the producer is making this film without compromising on the expenditure. The shootings in West Indies and USA took place with the permission from FDC. According to him, ‘Rey’, with a tagline ‘Shout for Success’ is a romantic flick on musical backdrop. The director informed that the film will be released in this year only. YVS claims that ‘Rey’ will be on par with ‘Seeta Ramula Kalyanam Choothamu Rarandi’, ‘Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo’ and ‘Devadasu’. Subhra Ayyappa is being introduced as leading lady opposite Sai Dharam Tej. While the film will be presented by Yalamanchi Geeta under ‘Bommarillu’ banner, the co-producers are Yalamanchi Yuktha and Yalamanchi Ekta.
