Suriya’s brother Karthi’s latest movie ‘Biriyani’ which was to hit screens for Sankranti, now exits the race in order to avoid clash with superstar’s ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ (which rescheduled its release date to January 10, 2014), Vijay’s ‘Jilla’ and Ajith’s ‘Veeram’ and on other hand, this being a bilingual film, the film will have to face a tough comepetition in Telugu as well with biggies like Mahesh Babu’s ‘1’, Allu Arjun’s ‘Race Gurram’ and Ram Charan’s ‘Yevadu’. Therefore, the makers of ‘Biriyani’ decided to advance their release date to December 20 and cash the Christmas holidays. The official confirmation is awaited.
