Director Bandaru Danayya Kavi has spoken of his experiences in the film industry and what the legendary lyricist, late Veturi, means to him.
"I began my career in the film industry as a lyricist while studying at the Osmania University. I hail from Nalgonda. I have learned a lot after entering the industry. My song in 'Vikramarkudu' earned a lot of acclaim. It was Veturi garu who taught me the basics and made me write songs. I turned into a director with my first film, 'Daughter Of Buchi Reddy'. I have got no background in the industry.
Talking about his movie 'Chitrapatam', the director said, "I have done story, screenplay, dialogues, music for the movie besides directing it. This is an emotional and intense story involving a father and a daughter."
The film stars Posani Krishna Murali, Narayan, Saranya, Srivalli and others. There are seven songs in total.
