'Adbhutham' has been streaming on Hotstar since November 19. Producer Chandrasekhar Reddy, who comes from a farmer's family and worked as a fitness trainer for the likes of Prabhas, Jr NTR, Nagarjuna and Sumanth, is happy that his movie has been received well on OTT.
"Our movie has clocked 100 million streaming minutes in 100 days. The audiences' rating is anything from 4 stars to 4.5 stars out of 5. I come from a rural background. Today, I am a producer," he said.
"I went to the US for higher studies decades ago. I noticed the kind of fitness interests that health-conscious people there have. I returned to India and set up a fitness studio in Hyderabad. In due course of time, I got in touch with several film celebs. Due to this, I grew interested in films," Reddy said.
The producer added that writer Prasanth Varma came to him with the story of 'Adbhutham' when he was looking for a universal idea. Teja Sajja and Shivani Rajasekhar have given solid performances, he added.
"The novelty in the story, the thrills in the screenplay are impressing the audience. The feedback has been very positive. We had to choose the OTT route due to the pandemic," Reddy said.
