‘Malli Modalaindi’, a relationship drama starring Sumanth in the lead, is skipping theatrical release. The rom-com will be released directly on ZEE5 in February.
TG Keerthi Kumar has wielded the megaphone. Producer K Rajasekhar Reddy of ED Entertainment has sold the movie to ZEE5 apparently because he had received a good deal. "What happens when a man who applies for a divorce falls in love with his lawyer? That's the premise of 'Malli Modalaindi'," he said today, talking about the subject.
Starring Varshini Sounderajan as the male lead's divorced wife, the film has 'Vangaveeti' fame Naina Ganguly as his love interest. Naina was recently seen in the Disney+Hotstar web series 'Parampara'.
The film has music by Anup Rubens, whose composition for the Sid Sriram-crooned song 'Alone Alone' has been a hit.
