The first look of 'Doshi', helmed by CS Amudhan, makes it clear that the male protagonist is a saviour. He is like a God who saves a land that has plunged into darkness. A crime drama, the film deals with a one-of-its-kind criminal incident in human history.
Bankrolled by Kamal Bohra, G Dhananjayan, B Pradeep and Pankaj Bohra, the film has Nandita Swetha of 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada' fame in a key role. It also features Mahima Nambiar and Ramya Nambeesan, who have done many non-Telugu South Indian movies in the past.
Jagan, senior character artist Nizhalgal Ravi, John Mahendran, and others are part of the cast. With music by Kannan, the film has Gopi Amarnath handling cinematography.
Vijay Antony is also doing a crime thriller titled 'Hatya'. He is playing a detective in it. Starring Ritika Singh as a fledgling cop, the film is helmed by Balaji Kumar. Infiniti Film Ventures and Lotus Pictures are producing it.
