In a candid chat, music director Thaman dropped a bombshell about his work on Prabhas’ romantic horror comedy, The Raja Saab. Turns out, he had already whipped up tunes for all the film’s songs—only to hit pause, reflect, and then chuck the whole lot into the trash bin.
In his latest interview, Thaman said that the tracks he had cooked up just didn’t vibe anymore, feeling stale. Thaman felt that the songs would be dead on arrival. So, he is back to square one, chasing a fresh sound with a spark that will match Prabhas’ larger-than-life energy.
Thaman's most recent works include Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj. He is also working on Pawan Kalyan's OG and Sunny Deol's Jaat.
The Raja Saab is directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory. Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal have key roles. Riddhi Kumar is part of the cast. Production Design is by Rajeevan. The fights are composed by Ram, Laxman, and King Solomon. The film's release date is said to be somewhere in the last quarter of this year.
