Director Atlee, after 'Jawan' (Hindi) grossed Rs 1000 Cr recently, has become one of the biggest directors in the country. He has plans to produce a series of movies in three different languages in the coming years. The 'Raja Rani' maker will be bankrolling movies in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
His young production house, named A for Apple Studios, will be making a film with a Telugu-only team in the near future. For years now, the 'Mersal' director has been trying to cultivate a network in Tollywood. It started with Jr NTR and Allu Arjun wanting to work with him in the past. For a variety of reasons, Atlee hasn't directed a straight Telugu film so far. He will now be making a Tollywood debut as a producer, though.
As a producer, Atlee is bringing together Keerthy Suresh for a Hindi movie headlined by Varun Dhawan. This one is an official remake of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Theri', which has also been remade as Pawan Kalyan's 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' in Telugu.
