Vijay Devarakonda has been unduly targeted through an orchestrated, motivated campaign for the past few days. This is the allegation made by the actor's team and producer Dil Raju of 'Family Star'. As per Dil Raju, negative reviews against 'Family Star' were cooked by several anonymous social media handles even before its first show commenced anywhere in the world on April 5. Also, a handful of YouTube channels went berserk through sensationally negative thumbnails.
VD's personal manager, Anurag Parvataneni, and his fans association president, Nishant Kumar, on Sunday met with the Cyber Crime Department in Hyderabad. As per a source, action has already been initiated against some social media users who became active just a few days before the release of 'Family Star'. These accounts usually become active only during the release of VD's movies, they alleged.
Speaking to TV9, Dil Raju said that the family audience are actually enjoying 'Family Star'. "Negative reviews are bad. They affect the producers adversely. Recently, the Kerala High Court ruled that films shouldn't be reviewed for the first three days. Something similar must be implemented everywhere. Otherwise, producers will fear producing movies," he added.
