'Akhanda 2' has been one of the talked-about sequels ever since 'Akhanda' became a blockbuster in 2021. The project has been a pet for both Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu.
The 'Legend' and 'Simha' director has made a generic comment about the much-vaunted sequel. Speaking to the media, he said that the film will project what society needs. In other words, he conveyed that the sequel will come with a social message.
The term 'social message' is an overused one in the Telugu film industry. Even 'Akhanda' was socially relevant as per its makers. Is Boyapati saying that the sequel will deal with a more pressing and definite social issue of the day? It will be interesting to know what issue he has in mind.
Boyapati will announce a new project (not 'Akhanda 2') after the election season concludes.
