It would be no exaggeration to say that the songs of 'Game Changer' are turning out to be the film's biggest weakness. The promo of 'DHOP', the fourth song, is absolutely horrible. Thaman had boasted about the song so much that it now seems he was probably joking. It's hard to believe that Thaman described the song as having the potential to resonate across the globe. The full song, one hopes, reverses the impression.
'Raa Raa Macha' was just average. For a commercial film like 'Game Changer', average songs are not welcome.
'Naa Naa Hyraana' and 'Jaragandi' have worked with the listeners. But the visuals of both songs are underwhelming, going by their lyrical videos.
Shankar has gone for saturated colour palettes for the songs. One hopes they look great on the big screen. If not, at least the dance choreography must do the damage. The Ram Charan-Kiara Advani chemistry doesn't quite inspire confidence. When was the last time you saw the hero-heroine duo in a film directed by a Tamil filmmaker sharing sizzling chemistry?
