Denial Mode: Makers haven't drawn lessons from Indian 2, Mr Bachchan failure

Shankar has said that he didn't expect 'Indian 2' to garner negative reviews. In his latest interview, he exuded confidence that Ram Charan's 'Game Changer' will undo the damage done to his track record by the Kamal Haasan-starrer.

A few weeks ago, in an interview, producer TG Vishwa Prasad said that he has no issues with the Harish Shankar-directed 'Mr. Bachchan', one of the biggest disasters in Ravi Teja's career. "If you take out a couple of portions, the film stood a chance. There were no issues with it," the producer said.

It's shocking that some filmmakers and producers continue to be in denial about the worst products from them. Even in the age of social media when memes give unfiltered feedback, they continue to be in denial. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad misreading the audience's verdict is understandable, considering that he hasn't been in the industry for more than seven years and is not a creator himself. But Shankar, who made classics for more than 15 years, saying that he didn't expect negative reviews for 'Indian 2' is nothing less than a shocker.
