Vishwak Sen to gamble with 'Power Peta'

Back in 2018 or so, director Krishna Chaitanya planned an ambitious political action drama titled 'Power Peta' with actor Nithiin in the lead. In 2021, before the release of 'Rang De', Nithiin said that the film would commence its shoot and hit the cinemas the same year. However, the project was put on the backburner ostensibly after the failure of 'Rang De' and due to budget-related issues.

The script has reportedly now reached Vishwak Sen. Krishna Chaitanya is the one who directed Sen's 'Gangs Of Godavari'. Even though 'GoG' was a flop and its second part has been put on the back burner, 'Power Peta' has been revived.

This is nothing less than a gamble for Sen. He is teaming up with a director who failed at building intensity in 'GoG'. 'Power Peta', going by its title, is an even more intense subject spanning decades.

The actor is also rumouredly planning to team up with 'Jathi Ratnalu' director Anudeep KV.
