In January this year, the makers of 'Guntur Kaaram' filed a Cyber complaint against an allegedly orchestrated campaign targeting their movie through bots on BookMyShow. The makers alleged that over 70,000 bots rated the movie 0/10 in an attempt to create negative perceptions about the movie's content.
A similar charge has now been made by Vishwak Sen. In a statement, the actor claimed that 'Gaami' has been downvoted by thousands of bots on BMS. “I feel compelled to address a concerning issue that has come to my attention. It has come to my notice that there have been persistent attacks on the film’s reputation on platforms like BookMyShow in terms of numerous bots unfairly giving it a rating of 1 out of 10. This malicious behavior is evident when genuine ratings of 9 or 10 suddenly drop to 1," the 'Gangs Of Godavari' actor wrote on Twitter, adding that he will pursue legal action.
'Gaami', directed by Vidyadhar Kagita, was released in theatres on March 8.
