Vishwak Sen's 'GAAMI', directed by Vidyadhar Kagita and produced by Karthik Sabareesh under Karthik Kult Kreations, will be released in theatres on March 8. Its trailer was released on Thursday at an event in Hyderabad. The Maha Shivarathri release has the hero playing an Aghora. Presented by V Celluloid, the film was shot in Varanasi and other locations. Sandeep Reddy Vanga graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Vishwak Sen said, "I can't say what our film is about. But I can assure you that 'Gaami' has everything in its second half that will make the Telugu cinema industry proud. Don't expect punchlines, whistle-worthy action blocks and item songs in this film."
The hero added that it has been exactly a year since his last film ('Das Ka Dhamki') was released in theatres. "When 'Gaami' went on the floors, the audience were not aware of my name. The director's vision is beyond narration. Narration can be manipulative. This director is a literary person. He came to me with a trove. I realized that this film would be profound. Less than twenty individuals believed in 'Gaami' way back. Today, it has become a much bigger project. Ninety percent of the effort was put in by the director," Sen said.
Producer Karthik Sabareesh thanked the crowd who funded the project. Chandini Chowdary, MG Abhinaya, Harika Pedada, and Mohammad Samad have different roles. Naresh Kumaran is the film's music director.
