TFCC Condemns Personal Attacks on Film Fraternity

The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce strongly objected to the unverified and personal comments made by a Telangana minister against the Akkineni family.

"Both the film industry and politics hold significant influence over society. While politicians wield immense power, films shape cultural narratives. Incidents like these highlight the disparity between influential figures and the world they inhabit," the statement said.

Misuse of Freedom of Speech:

"Targeting the personal lives of individuals is a desperate attempt to divert attention from pressing issues," the TFCC added.

The film fraternity plays a vital role in influencing culture and shaping public perspectives. Politics, on the other hand, shapes policies that affect people's lives. Politicians should prioritize public welfare, while films create, inspire, and reflect society. It is essential to appreciate the distinction between these two worlds and engage constructively for the betterment of society.

Call for Ethical Conduct:

We urge everyone to refrain from such harmful acts. Media outlets are requested to adopt ethical and responsible practices in their reporting.

Unity and Support:

The TFCC stands united in support of its members and will not tolerate any acts of insensitivity involving their personal lives. The chamber will take strong appropriate steps to protect its members' interests.
