The other day, at an event related to 'Kanguva', a Tamil actor named Bose Venkat urged Suriya to take on a political career. Bose Venkat is a pro-DMK man. In his speech, he obliquely suggested that Vijay is just fooling around with his fans while Suriya is a responsible celebrity who deserves to be in politics. Bose Venkat's speech came just a day before Vijay's first mass political rally.
There is a view that Suriya, too, is a pro-DMK celebrity. Which is why Bose Venkat indirectly took a swipe at Vijay. And since Vijay will be working to dislodge the DMK government in 2026 (that is his ostensible aim, at least), the two actors are said to be in two different political camps.
Suriya awaits the release of 'Kanguva' on November 14. The epic war film with a reincarnation element is directed by 'Siruthai' Siva and also stars the Bobby Deol-Disha Patani duo. Its music is by Devi Sri Prasad. The film is billed to register massive openings in Tamil and very good openings in Telugu.
