Costa Rica Invites Telugu Film Industry to Shoot in Stunning Locales

Sofia Salas, the Country Representative of Costa Rica, recently met with key figures from Tollywood to promote the country as a filming destination. She met with Damodar Prasad, Secretary of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Tummala Prasanna Kumar, Secretary of the Producers Council, and producers like Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao and Ram Satyanarayana.

During the meeting, Salas highlighted the stunning landscapes and diverse locations that Costa Rica offers for film production. She also emphasized the streamlined permitting process through a single window system and the attractive tax incentives available to filmmakers.

The Telugu film industry showed keen interest in exploring Costa Rica as a location and raised various questions about logistics, infrastructure, and local talent. Salas provided detailed answers and assured them of the country's commitment to supporting international film productions.

To facilitate further collaboration, Salas encouraged producers to contact the TFCC for more information and assistance.

Sofia Salas and Her Background

Sofia Salas is a seasoned Costa Rican lawyer with a strong background in international cooperation. She holds a Law Degree from the University of Costa Rica and an Interdisciplinary Masters Degree in Human Rights from the University of Essex (UK). With over a decade of experience working with international organizations like the UN, Salas has been instrumental in promoting human rights and sustainable development. In her previous role as Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General at the Embassy of Costa Rica in New Delhi, Salas was actively involved in fostering cultural exchange and economic ties between the two countries.
