Dil Raju had 'second thoughts' on Game Changer after Indian 2 flop

Producer Dil Raju today suggested that he had some second thoughts about his own judgment regarding Game Changer after Indian 2 bombed at the box office last year. Indian 2 and Game Changer are directed by the same filmmaker: Shankar. Since Dil Raju's success rate has weakened considerably in recent years, the failure of Indian 2 only worsened the self-doubting.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Dil Raju said that people started telling him that Game Changer would have to ride only on Ram Charan since Shankar was not a factor. "This is when I questioned myself where Game Changer stood in terms of execution. Did Shankar garu deliver what he had narrated?" Dil Raju said, adding that everyone was convinced, after a thorough analysis, that the output was shaping up to their satisfaction.

Dil Raju is confident that Game Changer will be a tremendous comeback for him in Telugu. He is aware of the film's obvious limitations in the Hindi market. He is counting on the power of 'word of mouth' in the Hindi belt.

Meanwhile, reports today stated that Lyca Productions has planned to stall the release of the Tamil version of Game Changer owing to some unresolved issues with Shankar. Shankar, as per a years-old agreement, is legally bound to complete Indian 3 before Game Changer. But Indian 3 is not completed (post-production works are pending).
