Game Changer bombs, Overseas distributors face major losses

Game Changer, the much-hyped political action entertainer, has stumbled badly at the Overseas box office, delivering an underwhelming opening weekend gross of $2.97 million, with the North American market giving about $1.9 million. The Ram Charan-starrer has fared extremely badly in other Overseas markets.

The film's initial performance has been lackluster across most territories. Day 3 (Monday) BO figures from various countries paint a grim picture.

On Monday, the makers of Ram Charan's Game Changer initiated legal action against certain individuals involved in piracy. A formal complaint was filed with the Cybercrime police in this regard. The complaint specifically targets certain social media handles that allegedly leaked key clips from the film. These accounts have also been accused of deliberately revealing plot twists two days before the release of the movie. As per Sri Venkateswara Creations, a gang of 45 individuals had resorted to blackmail days before the release of the movie. They had demanded that a certain sum of money be paid to them. The individuals are also accused by the makers of Ram Charan's movie of being the force behind the release of the movie's HD print online on January 10.
