The sensational hit film ‘Eega’ directed by SS Rajamouli with Nani, Samantha and Sudeep in the lead was recently released. The dialogues in this film were written by Janardhan Maharshi. Marking ‘Eega’s success, the dialogue writer expressed his thoughts about the film.
He started off saying, “Venditerapai Bangaru Theega Rajamouli Eega”. Telugu film industry was criticized for not reaching the national level. However, Rajamouli took our Telugu cinema to international level with ‘Eega’. Truly speaking, ‘Eega’ is neither related to eyes nor ears. Hence there are less dialogues in this film. I also did not put in more efforts since Rajamouli knows what he wants. I’m lucky to write dialogues for this film. The main reason why ‘Eega’ was such a huge hit in other languages too was because the film would have been effective even without dialogues. Rajamouli deserves the entire credit of Eega’s success. Rajamouli is not only a great director but also a good human-being. The smile on his face for the past two years indicated his confidence about making a film that would be pride of Indian cinema. Nani, Samantha and Sudeep did justice to their roles.”
Janardhan Maharshi is presently directing ‘Devasthanam’. Speaking about his future films he said, “I’m planning to do Gandharva Gaanam’ and Hyndavi’ next year. Right now I’m working as script writer for two Telugu films and three Kannada films. I also wanted to encourage few poets and writers through ‘Sarvejana Sukhinobhava’ trust.”
