Most of the people in our society don’t even consider Hijras as human beings. For them, Hijras are just beggars. Only a few people in our society understand that they too will have personal life, feelings and emotions and have equal rights like us. ‘Third man’ which is directed by Indra Mohan and produced by Roop Cine Services will clearly show the real problems the Hijra community is facing in their daily routine.
Prudhviraj Balireddy has played the lead role as a Hijra in the film. The tag line for ‘Third man’ is ‘Bomma kadu - Borusuu kadu’. Bombay Bhole has rendered the music. The sensor work for the film is completed and it has received accolades from the sensor board members.
Prudhviraj Balireddy said, “I feel it a privilege to act as a Hijra, the character which was earlier played by the legends like Kota Srinivas Rao, Prakash Raj and Sarath Kumar. My character name is Ranakka. Recently, even the Supreme Court too considered the problems faced by Hijras and responded positively by extending the Right to Equality and Freedom to the Hijra community.”
“The film ‘Third man’ is made with a good intention and it will make everyone think and change their reckless attitude towards Hijras. Few crucial sequences and songs of this entertainment and message oriented film were shot in Hyderabad. We will announce the release date as early as possible”, said the Director Indra Mohan.
Along with Ashok Kumar, Tirupath Prakash, Jakeer, Ghatika Chalam, Narsing Yadav, Narasimha Raju and Allari Subhashini, few original Pijras Hemangi, Pooja, Raveena, Bunty, Para, Sri Devi and many other played key roles in the film.
