Navneet Chahal, a marketing professional-turned-actress, debuts with the Kannada film Kempegowda 2, directed by Shankar Gowda, which has Komal Kumar in the lead. "Navneet plays a character with shades of grey; the villain Sreesanth's sister. Her character brings in a few twists in the tale, when she falls in love with the hero," explains Shankar.
As for Navneet, she says that the role felt perfectly in sync with how she is in real life. "I had three rounds of auditions for the role and I figured this is the right launch pad for me. I play a tomboy in the film and that's pretty much how I am in real life," she says. The film also stars Niva Sharma in the lead.
Apart from this on-going project, she also runs a professional blog on lifestyle and fitness. Further she says about her side profession, “Cosmo Journals is an insight into my lifestyle and fashion. Navneet shares her personal life that she is basically from Punjab. She completed her primary education in Punjab then went to abroad for higher studies where she joined dance classes. From there she came to Bangalore and got involved in fashion industry. She was pretty much interested in lifestyle and fitness for which she started her blog. She has been a part of so many social activities. Her talent and hardwork got her this kick-start role from Kannada industry for which she is very much thankful. She is now getting offers from Tollywood as well.
