Naveen Polishetty has bagged the Best Actor in a Leading Role - Critics (Telugu) Award for his performance in the 2021 comedy entertainer 'Jathi Ratnalu'. The film, released after the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, was a massive box-office performer.
The 'Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya' actor received the award in the presence of Allu Arjun and Bollywood star hero Ranveer Singh, whom he called his personal favourites.
In his speech, the young actor said that the award is proof that nobody is too small to dream big. He made a fervent reference to his middle-class background on the occasion, suggesting that determination and talent are what one needs to dream and achieve.
"This award is a dream come true," Naveen said, adding that it is a recognition for every common man. The former YouTube actor added that he has received an unbelievable amount of love and support.
On the work front, Naveen will next be seen in a UV Creations movie starring Anushka Shetty.
