After 'Virupaksha', here is yet another film in the backdrop (partially) of a temple. The difference is that this is not a horror-thriller. 'Aaikeshava', starring Panja Vaisshnav Tej in a fierce role, is a mass action entertainer where a Lord Shiva temple is sought to be protected from encroachment by the villain.
Set in Rayalaseema, the film is directed by Srikanth N Reddy. Releasing the first glimpse video on Monday, the makers said that the film will be released in theatres in July.
The video shows a temple priest warning the villains of Shiva's wrath. The wrath manifests in the form of our hero, who pulverizes the baddies in the style of a Boyapati Sreenu hero.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film has Aparna Das, Sree Leela (as the heroine), and Joju George (as the chief antagonist) in key roles. GV Prakash Kumar is its music director.
