It is usually believed that Prabhas doesn't hanker after remakes (that is Pawan Kalyan's preserve, to be sure). In his latest interview, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has made an interesting revelation, though. He stated that the 'Saaho' actor wanted him to direct a remake. Well!
"Before 'Animal', Prabhas approached me with an idea for a remake of a Hollywood film. But I came up with an original idea. That's when 'Spirit' happened," the 'Arjun Reddy' director said, adding that the shoot of 'Spirit' will be kicked off sometime in December this year.
It says a lot about Prabhas' lack of cinematic sense that he wanted a remake from one of India's most original directors. Granted that 'Animal' hadn't yet been released at that point in time, but Vanga had already shown flashes of brilliance with his first Telugu film and its Hindi remake.
'Spirit' is a cop story whose scripting is only half complete.
