'Kanthara Kanthara' from 'Mr. Idiot' comes with the right beats!

Telugu cinema has a rich tradition of college campus songs featuring a smitten young man and a beautiful, blushing woman. While this popular subgenre has been relatively absent in recent years, 'Mr. Idiot' aims to revive it, bringing back the romantic energy that has greeted the audiences in the past.

'Kanthara Kanthara', shot on debutant Maadhav, his heroine and many others, is an Anup Rubens composition. Singer Rahul Sipligunj injects the playful song with the right dose of reliability. Kasarla Shyam's lyrics sprinkle the song with a liberal dose of English words. We feel the prick of the Cactus in the annoyance felt by the heroine.

Produced by JJR Entertainments LLP, 'Mr. Idiot' is directed by Gowri Ronanki, who recently said, "From the beginning, I knew that the film needed a strong musical score, and Anup delivered exactly that. He truly understood the story and created some fantastic compositions. While I may not be an expert in fight sequences or dance, everyone involved has done a great job incorporating my suggestions."
