YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia aka Beer Biceps recently made obscene comments involving incestuous sex on a comedy show. His controversial "joke" about watching parents having sex has sparked widespread outrage. Initially, criminal cases were filed against him and two other content creators who were seated next to him.
Shockingly, as hours passed, cases have been hurled at more than three dozen others associated with the comedy show. The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has reportedly filed a case against everyone who is involved in the show India's Got Latent. "A case has been filed against a total of 30 to 40 people. A case has been filed against all the people who were involved from the first episode of the show to episode 6. The process of sending notices to everyone has been started. Everyone will be called to record their statements," the Cell has been quoted as saying by ANI.
The overreaction by the Cyber Cell of Maharashtra has disgusted many. "Why only 30 to 40? What about people who watched the show and encouraged it by giving views? The Government should file FIRs against 20-30 million people and show everyone that it is very serious when it comes to crimes," a social media user named Yashpal wrote sarcastically.
