Thala is the result of numerous sacrifices endured by Amma Rajasekhar, said director VN Aditya, speaking at the pre-release event of the movie. Ahead of Thala's theatrical release on February 14, celebrities lauded the film and endorsed it.
Starring Amma Raagin Raj and Ankitha Nansar as the lead pair, the film was praised by the guests for being content-driven, emotional and entertaining. The Manasantha Nuvve director said that debutant Raagin Raj has shown immense potential for growth. TV presenter and filmmaker Prabhakar said that Raagin's entry fulfils Rajasekhar's dreams for his son. Actor Rohit said that Thala is packed with highs, including in the form of a sparkling chemistry between him and Esther Noronha's character.
Actress Viji Chandrasekhar, senior producer T Ramasatyanarayana and others were also present. The latter drew parallels between Raagin and Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, wishing the newcomer a meteoric rise. Producer-distributor Srinivas Goud said that Thala will bring back to the silver screen the vintage Amma Rajasekhar. "His execution is superior to his narration. Raagin is like an experienced actor," he added.
Raagin Raj said that Thala is the fruit of years of hard work, through which he sustained injuries while filming for action scenes. His sentimental speech was peppered with personal anecdotes. Director Amma Rajasekhar thanked the film's producer. "Thala would mark producer Srinivas Goud's return to the big screen," he added.
Thala also features Satyam Rajesh, Ajay, Rajeev Kanakala, Indraja, and Shravan. Aslam Keyi has composed the BGM.
