Sometime in 2024, around 350 artists traveled from Guntur and Vijayawada to Hyderabad for the shooting of the movie Game Changer. However, some of them are now alleging that they have not been paid as promised. As per them, a Co-Director had assured them a payment of Rs 1,200 per person. However, when the payments allegedly were not made, they lodged a complaint at a Guntur police station. The artists are now demanding justice from producer Dil Raju, urging him to intervene and resolve the issue.
The movie, starring Global Star Ram Charan in the lead, was a colossal disaster. Director Shankar said in his first interview after its release that the film had to be trimmed to the tune of 75 minutes. The director had five hours of footage. Many scenes that might have made a better impact had to be chopped off to bring the film's running time down to 2 hours and 45 minutes. Two Editors worked on the film.
Game Changer has been streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Many portions have been the butt of online ridicule.
