Not many films have a commensurate OTT success after their theatrical exploits. Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Baskhar belongs to the rare category of movies.
As per Netflix, the financial con man thriller is a milestone performer of sorts. The Venky Atluri-directed crime thriller has been ranked the first South Indian film to trend on the streaming giant for 13 consecutive weeks.
In its first week, Lucky Baskhar trended at the top on Netflix’s Top 10 list in over 15 countries.
Additionally, the film retained the top two spot globally for two weeks with an impressive 17.8 billion minutes viewed.
Lucky Baskhar, co-starring Meenakshi Chaudhary, Srikanth Maganti, and others, entered the Rs 100 Cr club when it was released in October last year.
Producers Naga Vamsi Suryadevara and Sai Soujanya, who recently bankrolled Balakrishna's Daaku Maharaaj, are happy with the streaming success of their 2024 release. The producer duo currently awaits the release of MAD Square on March 29. Its Teaser, released the other day, has been a social media talking point.
