Speaking at the Success Meet of 'Lucky Baskhar' on Sunday, actor Dulquer Salmaan shared that he never envisioned himself as part of a Telugu film, and acknowledged Hanu Raghavapudi's contribution in shaping 'Sita Ramam' into a memorable film.
The 'Mahanati' actor attributed his connection with the Telugu audience to divine intervention. He expressed his thrill at being a part of the Telugu film industry and thanked cinematographer Nimish Ravi, a long-time collaborator, for their successful partnership. He also expressed his admiration for the production design by Banglann and the opportunity to work with veterans like Ramky and Sai Kumar. The 'King of Kotha' actor also acknowledged Navin Nooli's editing skills, which proved to be spot-on.
DQ thanked the multiple artists in the movie, including Rajkumar Kasireddy, who played his friend in the movie. "Sai Kumar sir, I love you like family. He is such a gentleman. We are always fans of his voice. Ramky sir is another gentleman I got the opportunity to work with. He was an absolute gentleman throughout the shoot," the actor added. "I always had faith in the movie, but it was composer GV who first messaged me that we had a blockbuster on hand. No song shoot, no post-production was delayed. Everything happened in time," DQ said.
Director Venky Atluri extended his heartfelt thanks to his team and crew, singling out GV Prakash Kumar for his exceptional music and patience. He heaped praise on Dulquer. The filmmaker also acknowledged the unwavering support of his producer, S Naga Vamsi, who prioritized storytelling over budget constraints. Venky expressed his joy at the film's widespread acceptance across various linguistic regions, including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and soon, Hindi.
Directors Hanu Raghavapudi and Nag Ashwin praised the film's director, as well as the hero. The 'Kalki 2898 AD' maker said, "There is a family atmosphere here. The director has thanked so many people. It's good that he took the effort to heartily thank them. I have known Venky and Dulquer for so long. I think you can't be a director by just having a story ready. You need to experience life. I have known Venky since the days of 'Life Is Beautiful'. He saw so much life."
Meenakshi Chaudhary, who played the female lead, expressed her gratitude to the team for their support. Music composer GV Prakash Kumar also shared his happiness on the film's success.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, 'Lucky Baskhar' was released in theatres on October 31.
