'Seethayanam', starring Kannada supreme hero Sashi Kumar's son Akshit Shasikumar, will release in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. Directed by Prabhakar Aripaka, the film has Anahitha Bhushan as the heroine.
Speaking at an event held in Hyderabad on Monday, the director said that the film tells the story of a woman's journey from the perspective of its male protagonist. "The shoot was completed to the tune of 90% before the lockdown. We shot the film in Bangkok, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mangalore. We have changed a sloka from Valmiki's Ramayana for a marriage song. The songs are by Chandrabose and Anantha Sriram. Swetha Mohan's breathless song is really good," the director added.
The film's hero, Akshit Sashikumar said, "I thank the director and producer Lalitha Rajyalakshmi for this opportunity. Although I faced language-related difficulties, the director extracted the best from me. Madhunandan garu has a supporting role. I hope the Telugu audience will accept me as their own."
The heroine said, "This is my first Telugu movie. But I never felt that I am acting in a new language"
Ajay Ghosh, Madhunandan, Vidyullekha Raman, Bithiri Sathi, Krishna Bhagawan, Gundu Sudarshan, Ananth, Jabardasth Appa Rao, TNR, Madhumani, Meghana Gowda are part of the cast.
