'Mr. Bachchan' and 'Double Ismart' are going to hit the cinemas on the same date - August 15th. What are the relative advantages enjoyed by the two movies?
Conventionally, 'Double Ismart' should register higher openings than its prime competitor. It is a sequel and Puri Jagannadh is a brand for a lot of 1990s kids. So, 'Double Ismart' holds the stamina of a dual advantage.
However, 'Mr. Bachchan' could register bigger openings. That's because of Ravi Teja's stardom. Even though it is a remake, the Harish Shankar directorial has a few other attractive propositions going in its favour: chartbusters, a decent plot, and Bhagyashri Borse's glamour. Since People Media Factory is going to hold premiere shows in the Telugu States on the evening of August 14, the Premiere plus Day 1 openings will be higher.
The better of the two films is surely going to eat into the commercial potential of the other one after the first two days. Let's see what is in fate for the two movies.
